We’re all about meeting the evolving needs of our parents and students, so our courses will adapt to what’s most important to you!
To keep it fresh and fun, we offer two dynamic tutoring options:
- Pre-designed Courses: These are small group tutoring sessions (4-6 students) that focus on specific outcomes, like acing the 3rd-grade Florida FAST exam or mastering the Algebra EOC.
- Individual, On-Demand Tutoring: Available starting May 1st, this option is the perfect way to get just-in-time support tailored to your exact academic needs.
Do I need any special software to join the classes?
Nope! All you need is a device (laptop, tablet, or smartphone) with an internet connection to access our platform.
Our sessions are hosted via Zoom, so just make sure you have the latest version of the app installed on your device. Simple and easy!
How do assignments and tests work?
- For On-Demand Tutoring: Assignments will be available directly in the Student Portal.
- For Pre-Designed Courses:
- The “Pre-Test”: At the start of each pre-designed course, students take a short diagnostic test so we can gauge their current understanding and skill level.
- Mini-Assignments & Quizzes: Throughout the course, tutors will assign quick quizzes within the Student Portal to track progress.
- The “Post-Test”: At the end of the course, students will take a brief post-test to assess their mastery of the material and ensure they’re ready to tackle the specific exam we’re prepping for.
Is there a grading system?
While grades matter in school, our focus is on your child’s progress and their ownership of that progress. We’re not just here to tutor—we’re here to empower students to take control of their learning!
Your tutor will provide regular updates on the concepts and skills your child is mastering, as well as areas that still need work. Assessment scores will also be shared to keep you in the loop and on track for success. After all, we’re a team, and we’re in this together!
Can parents track student progress?
Absolutely! Through the Student Portal, parents can easily track their child’s progress, including:
- Number of sessions completed
- Scores for assessments and assignments
- Real-time notes and suggestions from the tutor, so you always know exactly where your child stands and what they need to work on next
You’ll always be in the know—and so will your student!
